Pea puffers are small (around 1-2.5 cm), intelligent, freshwater fish from India with unique personalities, known for their curiosity and sometimes aggressive or territorial behavior. They are carnivores that require a varied diet of live or frozen foods like bloodworms, brine shrimp, and snails to prevent their teeth from overgrowing. These fish are best kept in species-only tanks or with very carefully chosen tank mates, in aquariums with clean, filtered water, and plenty of plants and hiding spots.
