The White Cloud fish, or White Cloud Mountain Minnow (Tanichthys albonubes), is a small, hardy, freshwater schooling fish popular in South African aquariums, distinguished by its bronze-brown or silver-green body, an iridescent stripe, and bright red dorsal and tail fins. Growing to about 4 cm (1.5 inches), males are slimmer and more brightly colored, while females are fuller-bodied. These peaceful, adaptable fish are excellent for beginners, thriving in cool, plant-filled tanks and schooling behavior with other peaceful fish.
