The yellow lab cichlid (Labidochromis caeruleus) is a bright yellow, relatively peaceful African cichlid from Lake Malawi, distinguished by black-tipped fins and an elongated, stocky body. It prefers rocky areas with caves and requires a hard water aquarium with a diet rich in vegetable matter. Males are typically larger, more colourful, and have black markings on their anal and ventral fins, which females lack.
